Event Basics

Exposition Park  South Lawn: 900 Exposition Park Drive , Los Angeles, CA 90037

  • Exposition Park – South Lawn is located at the corner of Exposition Park Drive and Bill Robertson Lane, Los Angeles, CA 90037.
  • The event is outdoors and will happen rain or shine. Shade is limited at the park, so please remember sunscreen, hat, and water if it’s a sunny day. Please remember an umbrella or rain gear if it’s a rainy day. Most programs and exhibitors will be on the grass lawn.
Tickets

The LA Maker Faire + City of STEM Festival is a FREE, non-ticketed event. All are welcome. 

Getting there

Public Transportation

Public transportation is a great option for traveling to the event!

Suggested Routes:
Dash Bus

From Downtown LA, take the [F] DASH line.
From South LA and via the Metro Blue Line at the Slauson Ave. Station, take the [SE] DASH Southeast line.

Metro Rapid Bus

Take the [754] Hollywood-Athens line via Vermont Ave.

Metro Expo Line

From Downtown LA, take the Westbound Expo line.
From West LA, take the Eastbound Expo line.

Parking

Parking is extremely limited; we advise using public transportation or ride-sharing.

Food & Water

Food trucks selling a variety of cuisine will be at the event. There are also a good selections of restaurants in the vicinity. Use Google Map or check out Discover Los Angeles site for recommendations. Attendees are welcome to pack your own snacks and enjoy a picnic on the lawn!

 

Attendees are encouraged to bring water and refillable water bottles. Drinking water will be available while supplies last at designated stations.

Restrooms

Portable restrooms will be available along with hand washing stations.

Lost & Found
  • Lost items may be sent to the main Info Booth (#3) for safekeeping.
  • If you encounter a lost/missing person, immediately inform an event staff member in a blue shirt or volunteer in a pink shirt. 
Accessibility Support

The Department on Disability will have a booth (location TBD). 

First Aid
  • A First Aid booth will be near the main Info Booth (#3).
  • In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1 and send somebody to inform the nearest event staff in a blue shirt of the situation.
