For makers, what inspired you to make this project?
3D printing is an important tool in makerspaces, but we wanted to make 3D art with a smaller carbon footprint and in a way that allows many people to work on a project together. So we turned to 3D paper art, designing and modeling in photoshop, Tinkercad, and Blender and exporting paper models focused on the physical beauty and complexity of Los Angeles.
