Seville for the People is committed to developing compelling lesson plans that center around jewelry design. Our workshops include imaginative material that encourage exploration. Our focus is to ignite creativity and repurpose discarded jewelry.
Born and raised in New York City (by a Cuban mother and a Greek father), Seville Michelle is a self-taught first generation born American jewelry designer who brings her unique background to life in her work by re-imagining the accessories of her youth. As a designer she merges street style with luxury in a very New York City way, always referencing her city life roots, and identity. Seville is often brought in to design and produce jewelry for chart-topping Billboard Music Top 100 artists. Her sharp eye for design, and ability to develop cohesive and sensical jewelry collections are deeply relied upon. Designing jewelry merchandise sold by artists, working directly and indirectly with some of the most beloved musicians of our day. Giving back in positive ways is the brands DNA which inspired Seville to launch Seville for the People, an educational company that creates imaginative activities around jewelry design. She has produced dozens of jewlery making workshops for the Los Angeles County Housing Authority and works as an art contractor for the Los Angeles Public Library. She was invited to join UCLA's Healing Arts program to gain a certificate in the Social Emotional Arts (SEA) - where she learned trauma-informed, creative approaches to enrich her jewlery making workshops. In 2022, after 13 years in business Seville was invited to join the coveted Accessories Council, (the CFDA of jewelry). In the Spring of 2023, Seville presented her business growth to California Senator Lena Gonzalez' office representing for women entrepreneurs and advocating for funding for women across the state.
