UCLA Makerspace

Fablab / Hackerspace / Makerspace

The UCLA Makerspace on the Hill, located in Olympic Hall, is a student-focused fabrication and prototyping space supporting hands-on learning and creative project development. It is equipped with tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing and embroidery machines, and woodworking and metalworking equipment. The Makerspace also offers workshops that teach students how to safely and effectively use these machines, helping them bring ideas from concept to reality. The Makerspace team will be displaying in-house built showcase projects, including an interactive claw machine, Wordle game, and hammer game, to highlight the Makerspace’s potential as a hub for innovation and experimentation.

UCLA Makerspace

The UCLA Makerspace on the Hill is supported by a dedicated team of student technicians led by professional Makerspace Managers. Our group works collaboratively to maintain daily operations, ensure safe and effective use of equipment, and provide hands-on support to students working on fabrication and prototyping projects. As a student-driven technical team, we assist users through one-on-one guidance, machine training, and workshops, helping empower the UCLA community to bring creative ideas and engineering designs to life.
