Engineering
Long Beach Lunabotics is a project club at California State University, Long Beach that strives to participate in the NASA Lunabotics Challenge. The competition consists of designing and developing a rover that can travel on the lunar surface and complete lunar construction. This competition supports the Artemis Mission, which entails shading cryogenic propellant tank farms, radiation shielding around nuclear power plants, and constructing berms for blast protection. Within the club, students focus on researching and designing in the fall semester and then manufacturing and assembling in the spring semester in order to remain on track for the deliverables that are to be submitted to NASA.
